Privacy
Text you send is scored and returned. It is not stored and not logged.
Try it
Text you type into the try-it box is sent to our server and on to the model to be scored. The scores come back to your browser, and the text is then gone: we keep no copy. Your thread lives in the open tab only and disappears when you close it.
Speaking instead of typing
The mic button in the try-it box uses your browser's own speech recognition. Your browser sends the sound to its maker's speech service to be turned into text: Google in Chrome, Microsoft in Edge, and Apple in Safari unless your device can do it itself. That service's privacy terms apply to the sound. This site never receives the audio, only the text that ends up in the box, which is handled like typed text. Nothing is recorded until you press the mic, and listening stops when you press it again or send.
Signing in
You can try three texts without signing in. After that, Try it asks you to sign in with LinkedIn, which is free. Sign-in goes through the accounts of AI Observability Studio, our sister product, so the same account works there and on the other Open-X sites: LinkedIn shares your name, email address and profile photo with it. This site stores none of them in a database. It keeps them in one encrypted cookie on your browser, so it knows you're signed in, for 30 days or until you sign out.
To count the free tries, the site sets a small cookie holding the number, and keeps the count for a day in its server's memory under a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself.
The API
Text sent to POST /v1/classify is handled the same way. For each request we log the time, the name of the key, how many blocks were sent and scored, how long it took and whether it failed. We never log the text, the scores, or the key itself.
API keys are kept as one-way hashes, so we can check a key but can't read it back.
Where the model runs
The models run on Hugging Face's inference service. Text is sent there over an encrypted connection to be scored. The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes connection details such as your IP address, the address requested and the time, in order to deliver and protect the site.
What this site doesn't do
There is no advertising and no analytics. The only cookies are the ones above: the count of free tries and, once you sign in, your sign-in. If you install it as an app, your browser keeps one offline page on your device; nothing about you is kept in it.
Running the models yourself
The weights are open. If your text must not leave your own machines, download a model from Hugging Face and run it there.
Changes
If analytics or stored history are added, this page will be updated before they are switched on.
